Itinerary

Day 1Delhi – Haridwar (240 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)

Pickup from Delhi Airport / Railway Station anddepart for Haridwar. On arrival Haridwar transfer Hotel. Visit Har-ki-Pauri to take Holy Bath & to see Ganga Aarti in evening. Drive back to hotel. Take Dinner &Overnight stay at Hotel.

An Evening at Ganga AartiHaridwar: The Ganga Aarti in Hardwar’s Har-ki-Pauri is one of the famous rituals in India. It starts at around 6.30pm after sunset, with large crowds gathered around both the banks of a canal that carries the waters of Ganges. Loud speakers blare songs in praise of Ganga Maiya and Shiva. At the time of Aarti shows a bustle of activity on the Ghats. A pack of diya comes fully equipped and is self-sufficient. It has a wick lamp surrounded by flowers. It lasted for around 30 min.

Day 2Haridwar–Barkot (215 Kms / 7 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Barkot via Dehradun &Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and later continue drive to Barkot, Check in Hotel.Dinner &Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 3Barkot–Yamunotri–Barkot (42Kms Drive/5 Kms Trek)

Morning after breakfast drive to JankiChatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (5kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arrival Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to DivyaShila, after taking bath in JamunabaiKund’s warn water and having “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji” returning to Jankichatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Hanuman Chatti : The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River.

YamunotriTemple : Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.

Surya Kund : There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows intonumerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.

DivyaShila : A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Yamunotri :Yamunotri is situated in the western region of the Garhwal Himalayas and is at a height of 3,235 meters above sea level. Yamunotri is the source of the river Yamuna.The shrine of Yamunotri is located on the Bandar Poonch peak.

Day 4Barkot – Uttarkashi (82 Kms / 4 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkash. Enroute visit Prakateshwar Cave, on arrival Uttarkashi check in Hotel, Later visit Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi Hotel.

Uttarkashi: Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. Other important temples situated here are EkadashRudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.

Day 5Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 Kms per way)

Morning after breakfast proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. On arrival Gangotri take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. After GangotriDarshan& Pooja drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi hotel.

Gangotri :Gangotri is the place high in the Garhwal Himalayas from where the holy Ganges originates. According to the legend, it was here the Ganga descended on the earth, when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair. The temple of Gangotri, dedicated to Goddess Ganga stands on the bank of the river.

Day 6Uttarkashi – Guptkashi / Sitapur (240 Kms / 8 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi / Sitapur. Enroute visit Tehri Dam. Check in Hotel. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Camp / Hotel.

Day 7Guptkashi / Sitapur – Kedarnath (32 Kms Drive / 16 Kms Trek)

Morning after breakfast drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or on by pony / Doli. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, tolietteries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. After freshening up, visit Kedarnathji Temple & perform Pooja. In the evening also visit AdiShankaracharya Samadhi behind the Temple. Overnight stay at Kedarnath hotel.

Kedarnath : Kedarnath is a majestic sight, standing in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by lofty snow Covered peaks. Kedarnath Temple, located at a height of 3,581 mts, stand at the head of the Mandakini River. The present temple, built in the 8th century by AdiShankaracharya, stands adjacent to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with figures of various deities & scenes from mythology. Outside the temple door a large statue of the Nandi Bull stands as guard. It is said that devotees who die here become one with Shiva himself.

Day 8Kedarnath – Guptkashi / Rudraprayag (32 Kms / 70 Kms Drive & 16 Kms Trek)

Early morning after breakfast visit Shri Kedarnathji Temple. Trek down to Gaurikund. Later drive to Rudraprayagvia Guptkashi. Check in Hotel, Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag hotel.

Rudraprayag : One of the holy prayag of five famous prayag of Uttarakhand. Confluence of River Alaknanda and Mandakini.

Day 9Guptkashi / Rudraprayag – Badrinath (200 Kms / 140 Kms / 6 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Enroute visit NarsinghBhagwan Temple at Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Later at evening visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti. Overnight stay Badrinath hotel.

NarsinghTemple:This is an ancient temple of Lord Vishnu in NarsinghAvtar and main temple of Joshimath. When Badrinathtemple remains closed during winter every year, one idol of Lord Badri is brought to Narsingh temple and worshiped for six months.

Badrinath:Badrinath is one of the most important of all the four(Char) Dhams in India. This temple located between Nar & Narayan mountain ranges and in the shadow of Nilkantha peak at the height of 3,133 Mts. It is the most popular of Vishnu pilgrimages among the five Badries, also known as Vishal Badri.

Day 10Badrinath – Pipalkoti / Rudraprayag (80 Kms / 160 Kms)

Early morning after breakfast, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakamal is significant for PinddanShraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the 3 kms of Badrinathji. Later drive to Pipalkoti/Rudraprayag. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Tapt Kund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.

NaradKund : A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.

Mata MurtyTemple : Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include SeshNetra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka

Mana Village : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.

BhimPul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge lies
over the roaring Saraswati River. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

Vyas Gufa (Cave) : Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the
Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

Day 11Pipalkoti / Rudraprayag – Haridwar (245 Kms / 165 Kms)

Early morning, after breakfast drive back to Haridwar, enroute visit LaxmanJhulla, Ramjhulla, etc. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at Haridwar

Day 12Haridwar – Delhi (240 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)

Morning, after breakfast checkout from hotel and drive back to Delhi. On Arrival Delhi, transfer to Railway Station/Airport.
